Baby Season

Walking down the street on our way to visit my friend's friend newborn baby and I run into my tutor who is going to the hospital, because his wife just gave birth to a baby girl! In my concession every time babies are brought up we talk about Koniaba, my host sister-in-law, who got married last October. My younger host brother and I say she is pregnant with twins and when they're born it will be a girl and a boy. The girl's name of course will be Jacqueline-Sita Kone! My togo-ma or namesake. It is such an honor to have a new born baby take your name, my host mom recently got one and she talked about it incessantly for a while. I would like to leave knowing there is a Jacqueline-Sita in my village before returning to the states.
